I'm no expert, but I think that swimming could actually make you taller. Not by a lot, not inches or anything. If you measure yourself in the morning and then when you go to sleep you height has changed. Why? Because the weight of your body has compressed your spine a bit. By swimming you are spending time with your body fully extended with minimal force compressing your spine. So not only are you "resting" the compression process, but you are working your back muscles while they are in this relaxed state, thus making it possible that your back will resist this compression once you return to a vertical position.
You can buy inverter tables that are supposed to help stretch you back out. I hear those can add an inch or so over long periods of time and consitent use. But sorry, you're not going to gain multiple inches or a foot by swimming or probably anything else you do except grow naturally.

Yes, you can try to turn a VW into a supercab big truck. But why is taller important? VW bug is a great way to get around and has excellent gas milage just like it is. Taller does not make us better. But if you are dead set on finding a sport that makes you taller, then try one you are very successful at. Basketball players all seem to be tall. ha

No. You can't make yourself taller. However, be happy that you're only 21--my boyfriend grew three inches taller from age 20 to age 25.

Whatever gave you that idea? Nothing can make you taller and at 21, you're probably as tall as you are going to get.

No. It can make your muscles leaner, however, which will give you the *appearance* of being taller, though you won't physically be taller. Some people can grow taller naturally, though, even at your age. Maybe that will happen.:)

I suppose all exercise helps.
When you are over 18 I didn't think that you could grow any taller, However i am probably wrong.
Drink lots of milk and things with calcium, they should help.

Swimming nor any other form of exercise will make you grow taller. It WILL however, make you slimmer and trimmer. And when it comes to height VS girth, you may "Look" taller.
