when the real effects of climate change in europe and USA will be felt? Meaning conditions that people will find it very hard to lead 'normal' lives? I read an article in Time-magazine that said it will be about 50years. Same information was found both, in the EU web pages and USA goverment internet site. Is it really happening so fast and are the governments really acting and reacting this slow to stop it? Apparently it is at the point where we either act now or it will be too late. Is this true?

The USA and China are the biggest polluters in the world and none of them seem to care as their sight is blinkered by creating wealth. However, it is ironic that little if not at all of this wealth helps the nationals in the respective countries. I believe climate change is already with us as can be seen by nature's reaction. We have continual droughts in some parts of the world and the tsunamis affecting some areas. When real disaster will strike the world no one knows as scientists just predict.

Never.
They are smart enough to figure out what the temperature will be 50 years from now, but they can not tell us where a hurricane will be in 5 days. Yeah right.
Give me a dime for every doomsday environmental prediction that was wrong and I would hire Bill Gates to be my butler.
Science is about repeatable verifiable experimentation. Not what MIGHT happen MAYBE ABOUT 50 years from now.

Well, it affects out lives now - look at the weather in England. The extreme weather affects farmers (our food) and people's moods among many other things...
