During the last election a lot of the lower court judgeships had just the same number of people running for them as needed to be elected. That got me thinking if just the general public could run for these postitions like how anyone can run for an elected sherrif postition.

in order to be a judge or something of that position, as far as I know need to have a Juristic doctorate degree by first abtaining a 4 year degree in pre-law and a masters of juristic or a juristic doctorate degree in a 3 year law course after 4 years in pre-law.

Technically, no. You don't have to be a lawyer to become a judge. However, most people get the experience needed to be a judge by being a lawyer........ I guess there is another pool of people who have as much experience in the courtroom as lawyers......
