The only time I've called 911 it was an accident. I meant to dial 411 as in Directory Assistantance. Hey, this was before the internet (yep, I'm old and was too lazy to use the phone book) As soon as I heard them say, "911, what's your emergency?" I panicked and hung up the phone, lol. They called right back and I explained what happened even though I was very embarrassed. They then asked me if I was being threatened in any way or if someone was "making me say that I am okay", lol. I had to convince them that I was okay. I guess I am glad that that were persistent and I never made that mistake again!

My car was stolen...
the police finally found it abandoned along the road with all the tires missing!

But i have to tell you another story i had with 911.
i was trying to make an international call, and you know we have to dial 011 before the number.
but instead of 011 i accidentally dialed 911 plus a bunch of numbers. then i realized i made a mistake so i hung up. it didn't occur to me that "911" was the number for police.
within a few minutes police showed up at my door, and asked if i had made a 911 call. i said no. They said they received a 911 hang-up call and they just wanted to make sure everything was ok. then it suddenly dawned on me that i made a mistake in that international call and called the police instead. i told them about it and apologized. it was quite embarrasing.

I watched a brand new Grand Am flip side to side and end over end about 4 times. I had my Daughter in the car, otherwise, I would have had to first respond to the accident. Thank Goodness an ambulance was right down the street. Both kids were ejected and lived. They shouldn't have, but did. They were racing, smacked into a mini van, bounced off the mini van to another car and then went rolling down a hill. NOT a pretty sight to see..

Witnessed a man on a bicycle getting hit by a car... I think he was going to be alright, just a lot of bumps and bruises. He did a nice header over the front hood.

My grand daughter was having seizures. By the time they arrived she was finished. They suggested it was the formula and she would be okay. We decided to take her to Emory Children's Hospital where she was admitted immediately. She was fine, no thanks to EMT"S.
