Frist nearly changed the rules last year to prevent Democrat filibusters.

Why, after complaining about that process for years, the GOP would be hypocrites if they used it now. And we all know they aren't hypocrites.

Sure, those are the rules. Frist should have never messed with the system in the first place. I'm a Democrat and I think we're going to play by the time honored, established rules.

Okay so if I read this correctly, you didn't like the fact that Republicans tried to change the rules on the fillibuster (which I didn't agree with), but now that your party is in power you support changing those same rules. Does that about sum it up? All I can say is, do you understand the meaning of the word hypocrisy?

Yes. you may not always like the results, but the filibuster protects us from some really bad decisions. I wish it were used more often.

they could keep the floor open and keep a vote from taking position. and that i imagine they want 60 votes to bypass a invoice. in the journey that that they had the 60 votes it does not count number what the republicans did

Filibusters are annoying, however they are not illegal. I hope they are not used a lot, but a few are inevitable.
