This Christmas may be my last one because I am terminal. So knowing this, I want the Holiday to really stand out in their memories as being the greatest at Grandma's house. Does anyone have any special family traditions that make Christmas wonderful and so memorable they want to pass it on to their children? Thanks.

Get the biggest tree that will fit into your home. Make sure that you decorate the outside of the house and yard with lights. Have a friend come over to take a family picture and make copies for each member of the family, even the smallest child as they will grow up and will then have this special picture. Having the grandchildren to act out the first Christmas while an adult reads it from the bible is fun. It only takes a few minutes to prepare and decide who gets which part. If there are lots of grandkids then there could be extra animals around for the children to play the part of. Don’t bring up your illness, as that will put a damper on things for the rest of the family. Remember to have stockings and little presents or goodies in them for each member of the family. Each person could bring his or her own stocking. You all could go caroling to other people’s houses to bring cheer to the sick and those that live alone too. If this proves to be the last Christmas they will be able to spend with you then no matter what things you do they will never forget it and it will always be a treasured Christmas because you were there for them to enjoy it with. Wishing you and your family a merry Christmas. ☼

Take a lot of pictures, Sit by the tree or piano, organ whatever and sing Christmas Carols/songs. While sitting around in one room, have each person state what the best Christmas was in their past.Record this. The kids get together and sing Over the river and through the woods. To Grandmothers house we go. Record this. Can't think of any more we do. Oh, sometimes we all bundle up after dinner and go out and have a snow ball fight.
