MOST of the married couples I know tolerate each other and the women all tell me if they had to do it all over again, they would NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I know a LOT of couples!!!!!!!!!!!! You might find a few here and there who are so used to each other they get familiarity confused with true love.

Well, you don't live happily ever after there's always be some problems but mostly it's good. My Partner and I have been together for 26 years and there are other marriages that are much longer. whoever said marriage isn't work is a fool. marriage takes a great deal of commitment and love. You have to work as a team rather than an individual. I adore my Best Beloved and we are very happy. Blessings.

I've been with my wife for fifteen years and we're happy as hell. Sometimes we get on each others nerves, but our love is deep and we really enjoy each other.

We met when we were teens and moved in together in college. We've lived together over ten years and we didn't get married until we had worked out a lot of our problems. Marriage is like anything else - you have to work at it.

Well.....
I've been together with my other half for going on 7 years and while events in our lives haven't always been sunshine and roses our lives together and the love we share hasn't faded at all. If tolerating is all you are doing, either seek council if you want to maintain it or divorce and find happiness elsewhere. Simply existing isn't living.

I think marriage is work. It doesn't have to necessarily be HARD work. But it is work. You have to nurture it.

I think your spouse should be someone who you like (obviously) and who you share values with. Your dreams and goals become each other's dreams and goals. And you work to fulfill those.

So yes, they can be happy. but as with all things of value, you must work for it and nurture it.
