Hello everyone,

My 1992 Buick LeSabre does not blow any heat anymore, (the fan works but no heat). The coolant levels are fine and I was told that I should try to flush the heater core. How do you do this? I know that I need to find the 2 lines going through my firewall, however I cant seem to find them. What do they look like?

Thanks for your help

dont disconnect the heater coil turn the heater on high put the water hose in the radiator and run it till you see clear water. buy some flush at the parts store put it in there lets the engine get hot drive the car around if you have to then let the water out put in antifreeze it will be open if not you need a new coil its gonna cost you about 250 and you have to pay before they order it

Just flush the cooling system and replace the thermostat & gasket. The heater core is part of the system. As far as locating the hoses look on the passenger side of the car's firewall. Behind the glove compartment. (in the engine compartment.)

before I would flush the core, I would locate and check the heater control valve. go to a parts store and have them show what valve fits your lasabre. now that you know what you are looking for, ckeck under your hood near the firewall. with the car warm, the heat on high, the hoses should be hot on both sides of the valve. if there is a vacuume hose , check for vacuume.with todays alum.engines and plastic and alum. cooling systems, i cant think what would cause one to clog up or with what?
