An iPod is a brand of MP3 player. Sony, Apple, Philips, etc. all make a type of MP3 player. iPod is the name of the one that Apple sells.

Ipod is an mp3 player. I just think that ipod is the brand of mp3 player made by apple. They are just the most popular and the best.

Ipod is a different brand. Some of the Ipods can hold more music than other mp3 players. I pods can store and view photos and music videos as well.

an ipod is NOT an MP3 player...mainly because it doesn't play mp3s it plays AAC files (AAC is another form of compressed music)
there are a lot of mp3 players with same capability as an ipod
but the ipods sleek design and popularity is what makes it a stocking stuffer =)

ipod=mp3 player.
but now there are the ipod 30GB devices, which makes the 30GB model a mp4.
it just depends on the make of the device.
