We have DirectTV satelite- no cable lines and no land phone line. Can I get internet service?

You could always try finding a wifi hotspot in your area.
Get a wifi network card/usb dongle and scan your local area. If you can find a wifi hotspot in the area then try to find the owner. If they will let you connect, then you can use a cantenna to get a stronger signal between the hotspot nd your computer. See http://www.cantenna.com for details.

You should be able to getaway with it since you have satellite services.
