Hi all,

My period is more than three weeks overdue - for the last four days my nipples are very sore and sensitive. About two weeks ago I was feeling pretty ill - dizzy, nauseos, faint etc. I feel better now but guess I'm still a bit tired.

I've taken two Home Pregnancy Tests and both have come up negative. I don't mind if I'm pregnant but the not knowing for sure is killing me!!

Any help or advice would be v much appreciated

Thanks all

xxx

Retest in a few days using your first morning urine. If it's still negative, see your doctor for a blood test.

Could be that you are pregnant but are still in the early stages so most pregnancy tests may not show you as being pregnant. Or you could ill. Does sound like pregnancy though. I would wait a few more weeks and try doing another test or you can buy a test now that detects it in the very first few days. Ask at the chemist.

If you are only 3 weeks late them I doubt you would be experiencing those symptoms that early on, it's not impossible but not likely. Also the symptoms wouldn't just disappear they continue. Take another test in a week and if it's still negative and you still don't have your period then make an appointment with your Dr. You may have just had a bug or if you have been stressed and thinking about pregnancy, this can delay your period.

You could be pregnant. Some tests don't come back positive until late. One of mine I didn't get a positive until almost 2 months I think. I would call your dr and go get a blood test. Good Luck!

The pregnancy tests are pretty spot on but from my partner just going through a pregnancy she said that her body felt different and she just knew my advise would be to go see your gp because if your not preggas something else could be up

Those symptoms sound a lot like pregnancy, and HPT tests aren't always accurate. . .you can go to your doctor (or Planned Parenthood, or your local health department) and get them to give you a pregnancy test (usually blood or urine sample) which is more accurate than HPTs. So then you can know for sure.:) Good luck!

The home preganancy tests r never that accurate- I would reccommend a visit to a doctor. Also, ure symptoms r not all just signs of preganancy, altho it is pretty accurate. However, it can also be a variety of illnesses and diseases. So have it checked out by a proffesional asap. Best of luck :-)

your hcg level may not be high enough for the test to detect it. You may want to contact your doctor and get your blood drawn or wait another week to test again because it sounds like you are pregnant. Good Luck

I went to the docs not long back and that test they do is (i'd swear if I could) amazing! My result was negative and the nurse said you are 100% not preggers. I was well impressed! For my fella however, it was the longest 5 minutes of his life! lol

Go to your nurse then you'll definatley know! (Make sure you can pee tho!)
