You're allowed to think about anything you want. That's the beauty of being a human being. St. Johns Wort isn't going to remedy a problem that you need a therapist to work on. See a professional if it is affecting you that bad.

It depends on how "bad" your thoughts are. If it's been going on a while and affecting your life too much, you will possibly need to be on an SSRI (serotonin reuptake inhibitor) such as Prozac (fluoxetine) or Wellbutrin (bupropion). For these you'll need to see a psychiatrist. Of course your mom may be freaked out by this idea, but TONS of people are on these (including me) and it's not just for depression, they work wonders on attitude and obsessions ect. I think you could give them a try cause St. John Wort is NOT EFFECTIVE.
I think it's important to take care of yourself and some people just need more help than others. Don't hesitate to get the help you need. Many people don't understand because they haven't felt it (including your mom) so trying to explain is frustrating. You do what you know is right for you not what others think is. And, unfortunately, like the other girl said, religion isn't helpful, that doesn't change the chemicals in your brain, that only temporarily distracts you.

It sounds as if you might be depressed. If so, it might be a chemical imbalance in the brain that will not respond to St. John's Wort. You might want to be evaluated by an advanced practice nurse or other clinician to determine whether you could benefit from anti-depressants coupled with some individual therapy. If depression is organic ( lack of enough serotonin in the brain), antidepressants can help with that and you can resume your life and feel much better. Good luck!

Honey, you shouldn't worry about things you cannot change. By your name, it seems that you are a Christian, so here is a bible verse you should read: Proverbs 23:7; Romans 12:2; Ephesians 2:10; Matthew 13-24.
I pray that these verses help you out.
Now, if you need to talk to someone, please seek out your pastor and tell your mom you need more than home remedies. Let her know how serious your situation is. Peace and Blessings

There is a prayer you can say, whenever you feel these thoughts come into your mind: Dear God, help me today to have only good thoughts and give me peace, I want to be a good person I ask this in Jesus Name Amen
