Girls, what is the best for getting rid of your bikini line? Are epilators good? Have tried home waxing and am not too good at it! Help.

You should not do this yourself if you can help it. Wax is best and get a professional to do it. This way it will look great and will be easier for you to deal with the initial pain. Which, I hasten to add, passes really quickly. I have never tried an epilator because I have heard horror stories about them. I would avoid this as strongly as I would avoid shaving. It won't be smooth and clean like a good wax.

Waxing works the best. It's a bit sore the first few times but if you do it regularly then it gets easier. Shaving tends to leave a stubble and causes a bit of a rash. Also gets very itchy when it starts to grow back. Waxing doesnt, but you can sometimes get ingrown hairs. I think an epilator would be very sore.

I think it really is down to personal preference and pain threshold. If you can handle it and afford it, a personal hot wax done at a salon is very effective and can last for a few weeks....added to that it gets a lot easier after a few times.Epilators are best for larger areas such as the legs...but they can be painful too.If you cannot deal with those I would say that hair removal creams work best...quick and simple (although they smell!) but they have he drawback of quick regrowth and possible stubble down there. I think shaving is also okay apart from the stubble and daily need to shave!

Missy, I use Nair for bikini area. You have to get the kind for bikini area because not all Nair hair removal products are for sensitive areas. I also use it for underarms and it starts in about 3 mins and finished within 6-8 minutes. You don't have to worry about waxing or bumps with shaving. My skin feels very soft and smooth afterwards. It sure beats the old fashion ways!

Your best bet is to go to a beauty salon and get it done there. It only costs me about £6 when i go get it done. Epilators dont really work as the hair is really thick and it tends to leave a line of stubble where you have tried to do it (not a good look!). Ring around a few beauty salons and check their prices.

Waxing hurts, depilating hurts, creams have a bad smell. I just shave and the more you do it the less sensitive the area gets to it.

i know that some girls tweeze there but if you got a lot of time on your hands and can handle pain..then go for it. other than that get waxing done by a professional, it's better that way
