Sure, there are things we are powerless over-- stupid rules at work, annoying people who irritate us, etc..... But we have power over our reaction to just about everything, so that is were we can eliminate the stress of feeling powerless.

The only thing we are truly powerless over is death and injury. You could get killed in a car crash tommorrow, and although you could lessen your chances of crashing by not driving like a tw*t, you never know who else out there is driving badly, thus we are all ultimatley slaves to pure chance and co-incidence. Nature and the universe we live in is ruled by chaos, order being a man-made resistance to the chaos that surrounds us and could destroy us at any time.

The only aspect of my life that I am powerless over is my conscience. It takes over no matter how much I try to ignore a wrong I have committed.
