I have seen many homes recently(as early as election day) with icicle lights on at night and the big x-mas blow up things in yards going too.

I have my own opinion on this, and I was wondering how others felt.

Is it ok, or not?

I think any time after the 1st December is fine. November is too early!

Mind you all the shops have been decorated for Christmas since Novermber the 1st. So no wonder people start early.

I put my X mas stuff up the like day after thanksgiving. It may be early but i like to see my x mas tree and decorations so i dont want it up a few days before x mas or in the beginning of dec. I think right now though seems a little early but thats just me.

I am physically holding myself back to put up my christmas tree and holiday decorations until thanksgiving. I usually wait until the day after... but this year, I might just do it the day before. Ive consulted with my friends, and they have all suggested that I wait at least until after thanksgiving.

So I guess it is more appropriate to do it after thanksgiving, but I wont be taking them down until after the first of the new year. :)

A good friend of mine is HUGE into seasonal decorating. Her annual tradition is too use the stop and go nature of Halloween to decorate for Christmas.

In my opinion, break out the winter decorations in November, but save the really CHRISTMASy ones until December.

I think a week or 10 days is plenty, but I guess if you have alot to decorate, you might want to do it earlier to justify the work you put into it.
