Your question is a good one for sure, but probably requires much more than most of us usually do in one answer. Here is part of it and should get you started ...
"The Silent Way is the name of a method of language teaching devised by Caleb Gattegno. The Silent Way views learning as a problem-solving, creative, discovering activity, in which the learner is a principal actor rather than a bench-bound listener. The main features could be stated as follows:
1) Learning is facilitated if the learner discovers or creates rather than re members and repeats what is to be learned.
2) Learning is facilitated by accompanying (mediating) physical objects.
3) Learning is facilitated by problem solving involving the material to be learned."
I like this approach to learning, and used it a great deal. It supports the statement, "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn or show me and I understand."
The Silent Way approach gets children involved in their own learning. When children are actively involved they learn.
You might want to research Jerome Bruner for more information. In terms of discussing application of this method in the classroom, you could easily incorporate Howard Gardner's multiple intelligences theories, which might enhance your assignment.
Best of luck with your work.

This is not something that someone can do for you. You need to give PERSONAL feedback. What did YOU like about it; not what did a stranger on yahoo answers like.
This is what I suggest; look through your notes and maybe your text. Answer the questions, talk about how you would use the methods, etc. and then if you are stuck on something post just that question.
What one person has studied as TPR may be similar to what your teacher has told you, but based on the circumstances it may vary some.
Good luck. When you are a teacher would you want your students to use yahoo answers to get their work done?

I consider maximum of what you write. yet there are issues I disagree with you on. i like "No toddler Left at the back of" because of the fact it forces the instructor to coach the region, that's mandatory for the pupil to pass the standardized assessments. The state point assessments mandated by ability of "NCLB" are so basic that they actually do not take that lots time from the traditional cloth. If instructors whinge that's that only ability that the instructor isn't shifting in the path of the fabrics rapid adequate. between the main important problems instructors face is they haven't any authority and a brilliant, crushing duty. and that i think of there's some distance too lots interior reach administration over the colleges. The positioned up from the pupil previously me is a solid occasion of the undesirable high quality of scholars who blame instructors for failure it is their duty. i ask your self how previous he would be whilst he realizes that his 3.8 GPA is a farce. i could like the removing of county administration over colleges and positioned it on a uniform state point. i could provide the instructor the dazzling say on no depend if a pupil would desire to proceed to be in a kind. I labored for 4 years as a chemistry and computing gadget programming instructor in extreme college yet does not do it back. instructors only get no appreciate from society.

You were given this assignment to build your own methods of teaching. Having others do it for you will not help you. By understanding each method and thinking of ways to use it, even if you are not comfortable with it will help you become a better teacher. Its there to build your teaching skills.

I think I'm in your TESL class (I've got EXACTLY the same assignment). I'm going to tell our instructor that I saw this online and maybe our class can track down who wrote it! You're going down!
