Actually I've never tried spending New Year's Eve in other countries than Denmark, so I can't really compare; but there are usually lots of parties going on, both private and in clubs, discotheques etc.
On New Year's Eve it's usually quite cold here, so most of the partying goes on indoors. You should be able to find a party to your liking - I hope you'll have lots of fun!

I recently moved to Denmark and one reason my husband wanted to come here so bad was the that he thought New Years here was the best he had ever seen. I guess I am going to find out. It is a pretty good party town any day of the year.

its a lot of fun, but be sure to know where to party - private parties are the best - come here a week before new years and find out where the best fun is - but theres always a bunch of bars and disco's you can go to. we love to party and drink beer and champagne :-)
