I didnt but my sister-in-law did. Enough to scare me, I refuse to have that testing done. She did the testing and was told her baby was going to be born with down syndrome, she spent her whole pregnancy stressed and in a depression. 5 months ago she gave birth to a perfectly healthy and normal baby girl. No signs of downs. She spent that wholle time worrying for nothing! I figure what is meant to be will be, why stress yourself and your family out for nothing!

I did, as my father is from Holland and there is a higher risk of of a certain genetic disorder. Everything turned out fine though and worrying won't help at all. Try to relax, and take whatever information you get calmly. Doctor's skills have come a long way and alot of things can be overcome today. Goodluck.

yes!with my first pregnancy i took a test that would tell me the chances of having a chance of having a baby with down syndrome.the test came back high and not exactly knowing how it worked i got all freaked out.had i known it was just testing to see what the chance was then i would have never done it.it was much unnecessary stress.my baby was born completely healthy.

Well, at least you would be aware of risks if you had the genetic testing.

I had a diabetes scare, because I am overweight, but I turned out fine and so did my baby. Don't get over-stressed, and just listen and do what your dr says.
