If you are coming here from an area that is fairly cold, you probably will not think it's too cold here. I wouldn't bring tank tops and shorts but, t-shirts would be alright and you probably won't want heavy sweaters or coats. I know that my first winter here (after living in upstate NY) felt practically balmy!

Here are the averages for Phoenix for Thanksgiving time ---

Thanksgiving Day
Average High Temperature: 71
Average Low Temperature: 46
Chance of Rain: 13%

I hope you enjoy visiting AZ!

Andee:

May I suggest this. About a week before Thanksgiving go to any of the several weather websites and look up the forecast for Phoenix. Most sites give a 10 day extended forecast option, and that way you'll know "exactly" what to expect. It's warn in the daytime, but it does get chilly in the late evening

No disrespect intended. Please use the "Spell Check" IE; Phoenix, Thanksgiving, where, not ware

During Thanksgiving.. the temperature will be(generally) about 70 degrees during the day and gets chilly during the night. down to about 50 or a little lower. You could bring some shorts to wear during the day but trousers for the early morning/night time and a light sweater during the morning hours and after 5 PM.. yes, it does get chilly but a pleasant chilly

The temperature should run in the high 70's or low 80's or so. It has been consistently in the 80's so far. The nights get pretty chilly though. It is in the 50's to 60's at night.

Well currently it is nice and cool, around 58* and getting up to 77* for a high today, might be a little cooler by Thanksgiving time though. How long are ya planing on staying in the area?

Not sure what your idea of hot and cold is, but around Thanksgiving it is beautiful in Phoenix. I would think that you would be best to layer it. wear a tshirt but have a light jacket of some sort in case you are out in the evening and it is chilly.

It's warm enough at Thanksgiving to wear a short sleeve top, but maybe not tank tops. It's over airconditioned in all the stores, so you might want to take a light weight sweater with you.
