That's a cool picture, but I somehow doubt the Democrats will call Bush & Co. to account, since there's been so much rhetoric about working together. I only wish the Republicans in Congress had had the same attitude when Clinton was in office.

Never if she is smart. The majority of American people have expressed that they against such an action. The action would be purely political and fruitless in the end as the Democrats do not have the majority required to remove a sitting president. It would be a costly and messy affair which would stretch into the next election cycle and surely cost the Democrats votes. It would also completely distract the Democrats from trying to pass any legislation whatsoever and would make all attempted cooperation between the parties impossible as battle lines would be drawn.

Now the specific answer to your question is that she cannot take any action until after January because the Democrats are not in power yet and she is not the speaker.

I know that some Democrats are all for this action, but the honest truth is that it will be useless and they will end up with egg on their faces if they insist on following this course. Mr. Bush will be President for 2 more years. This will be a fact whether impeachment is brought or not. Since the Democrats claim they want change for all Americans they would be best served to stick to their legislative agenda and leave the vendettas and hatred behind. This action would not be seen as cooperative, nor would it be viewed as being in the best interests of the people, 2 things the Democrats must do if they wish to hold power after the next election.

Bad idea for dems-no kidding-especiaally if they want to be taken seriously the next two years. War in Iraq wasnt illegal, so its not a criminal administration-theres no offense. That would political suicide for Reps. The best thing Dems can do now is work with Bush to enforce immigration laws. You should notice that Bush has gotten much more open-minded now that dems control congress. Pelosi is a smart woman, and she has already stated that there can not and will not be an impeachment.

Won't happen, Bush didn't do anything illegal and it would be political suicide. I think you demo's need to start focusing on real issues and get some real plans and put the bashing aside. It really looks odd to have a Senate and Congress bashing Presidents. Like unethical, like what wrong with this picture. Can't you find any projects that you all have been saying you were going to change and start changing them?

I hope Dems learned a lesson from when the Repugnants impeached Clinton. It just wasn't worth it. They should concentrate on taking our country back, as well as form strategy to take the White House in 2008.

The democrats have two years to prove themselves to the american public. Just remember people didnt as much vote for the democrats as they voted against republicans. While I think he should be investigated and all of that, we all know what the end result will be so it doesnt matter. Just be secure in the knowledge that you know what he did wrong. It will only be a waste of time and money to do that.

She won't personally. She still has to work with the White House in order to get any legislation past Bush's veto.

But I'm sure Waxman will be able to, and Pelosi will be calling for him to be reasonable and civil, laughing all the while. Because she'll instigate it and look like she is trying to be the voice of reason.

But I'm sure there will be some restraint, because they need to win again in 2008.

1) The Bush administration is not criminal.
2) Pelosi won't be speaker till Jan.
3) You won't have to wait long for multiple witch hunts.

If she wants to committ political suicide she'll call for investigations right away. I think she has it in her mind to run for President, and connecting herself to trying to impeach a President or his administration would shoot her in the foot--big time.
