I also heard it's Chris Cornell. I'd like them to drag Shirley Bassey out of retirement to sing the theme. She's the Queen of Bond themes!

Singer songwriter Chris Cornell has written the theme song to the 21st James Bond film "Casino Royale".
Cornell will also perform the title track. This would make him the first male lead vocalist to perform a 007 song since A-Ha in 1987 for "The Living Daylights".
He was quoted as saying (translated), "I haven´t seen the new Bond fully, because it is still being edited, but I have seen several clips of it. Absolutely amazing movie. Very different than earlier Bonds."
Songs written by Chris Cornell have been featured in several blockbusters such as "Singles", "Collateral Damage", "Great Expectations" and "True Romance". He was a founding member and lead singer of Sound Garden, and as well as a solo career, now heads up rock band Audioslave. His most recent hit is "Be Yourself"

i will flow out on a limb and say the subject for the 1st on line casino Royale movie, made decrease back in 1967. The music replaced into via Burt Bacarach. you could argue that the movie wasn't a real James Bond movie - properly it replaced into so there!
