I really enjoy writing my articles and studies, but every time I have to start, I postpone it "to the eternity". I have no problem with concentration, talent, demanding issues I have to deal with etc. but when I look behind, there are days and days passed away, deadlines are coming and I haven't started yet.

Does anybody else have the same problem or know some tips how to prevent this and start working without obstacles.

Thanks a lot :)

It's just procrastination. Lots of people do this. Some even feel like they can't work unless they're under a lot of pressure.

If, as you say, it's not causing you any problems, it's probably nothing to worry about. This is just the way you work. If you find you're turning things in late because of it, or losing sleep or some other disruption, there are steps you can take to overcome procrastination.

You can try setting your own artificial deadline and sticking to it. Set a deadline PRIOR to when the paper is due. You can also try making several tasks out of your work and scheduling (for yourself) to have THOSE done ahead of time. For example, papers can be broken up into:

Step 1: Write an outline by Monday.
Step 2: Write Paragraph 1 and 2 on Tuesday.
Step 3: Conclude and proofread paper on Wednesday.

You can also try giving yourself rewards just for getting started. Writing seems to be a particular task that people put off...moreso than other types of homework. So often just having a firm plan to GET STARTED is the best way to approach it.

Good luck!

You are a procrastinator! You postpone things to the last minute. I have always been like that. Basically you just have to will yourself to do the assignment early. Make yourself a list of goals with a time line. I try to write down a list of assignments to do every day (even if they aren't due for a while). It's best to get out of this habit as early as possible, I skated through high school with over a 4.0 but procrastination in college is not a good habit! Good luck :)

You are a procrastinator, set an earlier deadline date for your self. Get a friend to be a proof reader of your work, and set the deadline about a week before it's due.
This will serve you in two ways:
One he may find errors in your work that spell check will miss.
Two if you know he is going to keep your paper for at least a week (no matter what) that will motivate you to start earlier.

Oh my observe! I have this issue for all time. one way I remedy that is a million. Take a destroy from writing. in a good number of cases even as i imagine my writings crap i'm both drained, lower than pressure out, or i have been engaged on the tale too lengthy. i might want to represent not engaged on your writing for no less than a week. After that week flow decrease back and write again. It facilitates me. 2. flow decrease back and browse your exercising consultation loud to your self. many times after I attempt this I make sure out what makes me imagine my artwork is crap and then I fix it. now and again I even upload new issues. For one among my significant thoughts I had this issue. So i did not write for a lengthy time period then went decrease back and adjusted an total scene. 3. keep in mind that your artwork isn't crap. in the journey that your a real author and characteristic a interest for writing, there is not something that would want to give up you from writing. Writing isn't something that purely looks, it takes practice. Its area of being a author, writing. i might want to represent writing a minimum of once an afternoon so that you'll get more effective at it. The extra you write on a daily foundation the further your writing will strengthen. now and again once you imagine your artwork is crap its because it may not be as discriptive as you want it to . as an example the brilliant scarlet apple dangled above the females head tempting her to take somewhat out of its smooth purple layer. in case you want to strengthen your writing take a laptop and describe what you observe, listen, experience, scent, flavor. attempt this and your writing will definetly strengthen. study Joan Bouers books she does a very good interest of that. 4. Dont provide up! you may do it! That quite somewhat sums all of it up. Dont provide up on writing in case you extremely like it. a real author can not destroy out the temptation to jot down daily. A author creates worlds, and individuals, and observe purely besides the undeniable fact that the clicking of laptop keys and their solid mind's eye. solid success and satisfied writing desire this helped you.

Go to the library!! Don't think about it, just pack your bag and go. Write on your calendar exactly what should be done by when. Make a time table. Like you need to have 5 pages written by x day, 8pgs by x+2 day. ect. There's no real easy way except the goals you set for yourself on the calendar.

I have the same problem, for about five years now I am in the process of writing a book. One suggestion was given to me, that may work for you, set aside the same time each day and write and follow this daily, I was told it will succeed.

You are not alone.

I suggest you take it in small pieces. Resolve to write one page today. If you are motivated to do more, fine, but if not, you just have to do one page, and that's not so much. Tomorrow, resolve to write another page.

Good luck.
