A racist can be a bigot but a bigot is not necessarily racist. A racist is someone who hate or is scared of people of other races. A bigot is someone that does not accept certain people based on his/her prejudices, usually tend to judge partially and sometimes use power to bully his/her disliked ones. Racism is about colour, bigotry about psychological bullying.

A raciest is a bigot but a bigot is not necessarily raciest.

A bigot may hate someone for reasons other than race.

He/she may hate you for your faith or your sexual orientation your gender or any of a number of reasons not connected to race or ethnicity.

I don't think their is a difference between a racist and bigot, the definition is basically the same. They're synonms i guess. Bigot-One who is strongly partial to one's own group, religion, race, or politics and is intolerant of those who differ and racist is basically someone think that a specfic race is superior to another. The two are very similar.

Racist bigotry singles out a race of people.
Bigotry can be towards anyone.

In this case, "bigot" is a noun, and "racist" is an adjective.

Sort of like a Ford Mustang:
All Mustangs are Fords, but not all Fords are Mustangs.

A racist would be against people of other races but a bigot could be more spread out, to other religions, ethnic groups, sexual orientation, etc..... Neither is good but a bigot could be worse because they could be more ANTI that a racist.

There is no difference. Racist is the synonym of the word Bigot. Look it up in the dictionary it will tell you the same thing. Meaning one refers to the other.

a racist believes in and sees a separation between races
a bigot dislikes other races simply for being different than their own.
People tend to use the terms interchangably but technically a "racist" only believes in separation but has no animosity

Not much! But a bigot doesn't discriminate merely on race. Could be religion, sex, age, etc. in addition to race.
