I accidentally left my DeWalt cordless circular saw out in the rain for two days... URGGGGGG. The battery pack was in at the time. Also my corded B&D jigsaw. Did I kill them? When I discovered them outside, I brought them in and shook them out and won't turn them on for a good while to let them dry out. Any suggestions? Thanks!

The batteries should be ok but I'd worry about the coils in the saws rusting. I'd spray the metal on them with WD 40 and set them somewhere for awhile to dry out.

Oil the heck out of them and run them ASAP. If you let them set the armitures will surly cease up and then you might as well toss em. Also run em every so often after that for a few days just to be certain that the moisture is gone.

Try using you electric hair dryer, pointing it at the vents on the tools to make sure that the insides are dry including the insulation.

If you wait till they are dry you have a decent chance they will work again.

They are probably fine, just dry them out thoroughly before you use them. Maybe use a blow dryer to speed the process, or blow them out with compressed air.
