Are the BBc losing the plot with this weeks Children in Need Special.
They used to put on loads of things to encourage us all to donate to great causes however,it seems they are now using this as a platform for fallen "stars" to promote their new songs etc which, for me is a great disapointment, whats happened to all the "fun" things that always made everything worth watching.
Have you seen all the has-beens that are queuing up to get free publicity and to advertise their own thing.
I shall still donate but will not watch their rubbish,do you agree or,think the line up will be good to watch?

It's been like that for years now!

I don't watch it because i too find it very cynical.
Let's have less celebs and more REAL people please!

Well I've never had a problem with watching Children In Need, it's always been a barrel of laughs, but sadly this year I will not be watching live because it's my birthday on the 17 November in which it falls on, so I will be Sky "plussing" it and watching it later. But some things are hilarious, like the Catherine Tate mini sketches have me in stitches and other new comedians performing make the show entertaining whilst still making us aware of the children who still desperately in need of turning their lives around, and unlike when donating to Africa, we know that the government doesn't take the money of them as use it for themselves, due to the fact that we help people in need. We can see the poverty line getting lower, whereas in Africa, it should be getting lower from endless donations but due to the greedy people running the countries, the line is staying steady.

Probably one of the best charities to support as it has very low overheads and more of the cash goes to where it is needed.
What annoys me is the highly paid stars that come on the TV and Radio and exhort us to give, give ,give. Just one donation from say Rod Stewart or David Beckham or even Terry Wogan would make a substantial contribution to the fund and they just would not miss it.

Anything as Long as I don't have to watch Jackie Bird on BBC Scotland. Honestly though as long as the children get the money why should we care whom we watch...... As Long as I don't have to sit through Jackie Bird grrrr.

the celebs should just give their money away, and stop embarrassing themselves on the show. It's cringeworthy.
