I hate call centres, full stop. However, the frustration is even worse when there are language difficulties. Sometimes people speak perfectly good english, but a heavy accent can make them hard to understand.

I think Call-centres here in the UK and abroad should all be closed down so that we can actually speak with a real person representing the company rather than someone miles away who does not understand what the problem is or,even understand the language we speak.
If they spent the money here instead of paying foreigners to take our calls perhaps customer care may return and, until that happens things are bound to get worse.

I had to call Midland Mainline and despite dialling the correct number for Derby I was passed on to Delhi or somewhere where the person talking to me had no idea of a. British geography b.Trains or c English. It cost me 5 quid on a mobile and still I didn't get through to anybody helpful. I say if companies can't be bothered to open call centres in the UK then the UK shouldn't use their products. Anybody else for a Boycott?

I do agree. They are usually very polite and pleasant, especially those from India, but when I am paying for the call on premium rates, I get annoyed that I cannot understand their answers because of their accent. The actual spoken English is quite good. The result is that I have to ask them to repeat things and the call takes far longer than it should. For the Yahoo help line it is 50pence per minute.

Natwest certainly has call centres interior the united kingdom and that i've got in no way had a issue with them. They ask you in case you like a evaluate each and every time you call yet you basically say no. apparently in addition they're going to supply you your branch's telephone type, besides the certainty that i've got in no way been constructive why you would be wanting it.

It really doesn't usually matter a toss where the call centre is - only whether they look after you well. It is pure prejudice to criticise a call centre because it is overseas. The only thing that matters is if their service is OK.
