George Gershwin's "Summertime" (from Porgy and Bess) has had an estimated 2,600 versions recorded, and no list would be complete without Irving Berlin's "White Christmas" (from the film Holiday Inn).

I would guess Happy Birthday ... as for who sang it originally, I am not sure. Millions of people every day cant be wrong. : )

As recordings go, I was under the impression it was Over the Rainbow from the Wizard of Oz. Judy Garland. Written by Harold Arlen ? I think
As far as most sung, I reckon the Chinese national anthem would give Happy Birthday a pretty good run for it's money.
