I spacifically remember in grade school that I would argue with the other kids about how obsurd santa was. I don't ever remember thinking that he was real. And my parents say that I never did. even when I was little they said I argued with them about it. I think it's disgusting that we spend so much effort lying to our children and convincing them that such a great holiday is all about free toys. . . But it is funny to tell them he's not real and watch them cry!

Who said Santa wasn't real? I'll tell you a true story. When I was young, I always woke up at 2AM to scope out my presents before anyone else was up. I got really good at unwrapping my presents and rewrapping them so no one would notice. I'd also learned really young that "Santa" had two different signatures. One looked very much like my mom's handwriting and the other looked a lot like my dad's handwriting. Oh, I was a nosy child alright. I'd know where all of my presents were hidden before the big day. Well, one year, I remember going through my usual 2AM sneakiness, looking through every single present, counting them to see if my brother or I had more, etc. Anyway, I couldn't fall asleep after that. So I layed in bed wide awake. Around 6AM, I got up again and went out to watch cartoons in the living room. My parent's didn't get up until 7 or 8. But when my brother and I were passing out presents, I came across one that I didn't see during my 2AM raid. The signature was unlike any other I'd ever seen. I haven't seen the same since. And it was completely different wrapping paper than I'd seen before (using the same wrapping paper was also a tell-tale sign that my parents were the cause...LOL). To this day, I don't know how that present got there since my bedroom was right across from my parents door and right next to the front door, nor do I know who it was really from. Kinda makes you wonder, huh?

Just like God, Santa exisist in the Hearts and Minds of all people. I was 8 when I discovered my Mom downstairs wrapping presents on Christmas Eve. I remember thinking " OH, no". I was dissappointed, but my parents taught me that Santa is like a spirit that helps us all. He is part of the Holy Spirit. One time when my parents didn't have a lot of money , someone dropped off two big bags of toys for my brother and I on Christmas Eve. It really felt like Santa at work. Later, knowing that it was someone from our Church. The reason that people keep the Santa tradition alive, is to promote the message" Love Each Other" . we are all we got! We all get to be Santa ,if we choose. God Bless!

I never believed, I knew that guy at the shopping center was a fake. I have pictures of me, on Santa's lap, leaning as far away from him as I could get, without falling off.
If I did believe, I would have been very disappointed when I was 6. Dad was out in the garage, trying to put my new bike together, very late at night.. He turned the air blue several times. I was in my bed, thinking, there is Dad putting my new bike together. I was not surprised on Christmas morning, and my poor parents suffered for years wondering why. As an Adult, I told them.
And to the last Christmas my Dad spent on earth, every year I got a present from Santa. It was always from Dad.
So, no I was not mad, or disappointed. I now collect Santas, probably due to my weird childhood.
The tip off to my parents should have been the year I got the cookies and milk out for Santa, but Santa did not want them, and they got put back in the jar, and back to the bottle, and I said, didn't Dad want the cookies and milk. Mom stood there and denied that what happened. Please. I knew how much milk was in that jug.
Now I believe, there is a little Santa in everyone, with each Christmas gift purchased, and given in the spirit of the season.

Stovetopstuffings parents an me seem to have a lot in common .My kids will never tell me they don`t believe in Santa .the oldest learned the consequences of being an unbeliever when she insisted she knew there was no Tooth Fairy and i might as well give her a couple of quid then and there .I didn`t give her anything and neither has the tooth Fairysince that day Any one can ask them if Santa is real and they will swear day is night that he is .(if there`s any risk of me overhearing anyway)

You know, I DID feel kind of angry and stupid. I also felt disappointed.
Over the years though, I've come to understand that Santa really DOES exist, just not in the elementary way we come to know the story as children. In that sense, Santa really is a magical, very special thing.

My parents never told me he was real. They usually said things along the lines of 'There's a story about a man who lived long ago and past on traditions of..." and would continue in that vague manner of 'and some people still believe that he still gives out gifts'. It was a vague manner about it that always kept me skeptical about the whole santa thing.
This was a stark difference from the matter of fact speaking of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus.

My parents never told me that Santa was real. Before they had a chance, my sister told me that I should never believe it because she had seen our parents wrapping presents and putting them under the tree. I was angry at her because I didn't even know who Santa was and I didn't like her telling me what to do. I was 2.

What Santa isnt real?? lol
I dont know what I felt to be honest. Betrayed more than lied to.
Did hear something the other day whilst walking down the road. A son turned around to his mother and said "Is it true if im naughty do I really get no presants". The mother said back to him, "If you are really good you get loads of presants, but if you are just good you get a few presants, but if you are bad you only get one presant". I thought this was really sweet of the mother.
