Terrel Owens is a great athlete. Physically he dominates defensive back. He's got speed, can play with the short pass and the long ball situations.

He's a competitor and wants to win badly, more than most players in the league.

Yet football is a team game, and team chemistry is important, probably more than any of the qualities mentioned above. TO completely lacks it. Not only does he not encourage his teammates, he creates a situation where he wants to be involved in every single play behest of the failure of the team. He undervalues the role other players in winning games.

He is like Wilt Chamberlain, who with all his immense talent is less revered than about 50 other players who probably had less than 10% his abilities, yet won more championships, and ultimately more respect.

To stands for Terrell Owens and also stands for Terribly Overated. He has dropped more catchable passes than any other player.

T.O. was a great player. A great player is one that is ALWAYS coming up with big plays. T.O. is now just a good reciever I do not consider him a great receiver. 654 yards in 10 weeks of football and one fumble does not make a reciever a GREAT receiver. Now a great receiver is Marques Colston ROOKIE with 800 plus yards same TD's as T.O. and he is a Rookie.

Personally, I think TO is more hype than anything else. He's not completely happy unless he's the center of attention. I think he's in the NFL for the money and the fame, not for the love of the game! One of my favorite players (Hines Ward - Steelers) when you watch him play, you can tell he LOVES the game, I don't see that with TO.

As a player, I'd still take Randy Moss over TO. However, give me TO with the attitude of...oh, I don't know...Steve Largent...that would be a combination that would make Jerry Rice jealous.

He give pros a bad name. He is the most selfish person in any sport right now. And that is saying something. It is unfortunate that most of the TV time goes to there spoiled sports stars who are really just big babys.

As a player he is probably the best reciever over the past 4-5 years overall. He has had his problems with drops as of late.

If he would just keep his mouth shut, he would get more respect. There is no I in Team. One person can't carry a franchise, and even if they could, it wouldn't be him.
