in CSI (vegas i think) they occasionally use a vertical glass scanner, which is a v when open?

and closes sandwiching the sheet inside... does anyone know if such a scanner exists, or is it simply a prop? if it does, can anyone tell me what make and model it is, so i can purchase one... its properly groovy!

It probably does exist. Most of the equiptment they use on the show is real. You'll have to check online for it.
