YEs we are and some of the answers prove that point. For instance, ignorant and brainwashed people who are too lazy t oinvestigate and discover truth accept only the official government story like planes flew into the Twin Towers or that Israli mossad story that people are blowing themselves up in Israel and trucks.

Losssers don't realize nor have the menatality to figure out that the TT's were a controled demolition because it is easier adn more simple for them to accept the offcial story than to see the truth before their eyes,

The same people fail to read media news outside the Americas to find that the bodies inside a truck bombing are sometimes already dead or the true stories written in many media outside the USA that Israel coerced mentally retarded Palistinian children to wear bomb jackets so that they could blame it on the palistinians . Most of their media on such things have been exposed as set up . We find also in othr reports that at military checkpoints in Iraq that Iragi farmers have been set up and killed . Once ariving at the checkpoint one watermellon famer had his entire truck inspected for alledged bombs and when he took off to his deatination he noticed the truck seemed heavier. The check point officers told him he hads to report to the nearest police station for a final inspection. Once he realized he looked in is truck and under the watermellon he was now carrying a large load of explosives buried in his watermellon which became evident they wer radio controlled. He then noticed in the distance that he was being followed by which he believed those who would detonate the explosives by radio control some distance away,

This is an everyday event in Irag and Israle by Isreal in order to make the world believe that the Palistinians and Irag and now Iran are truely attacking them whene in reality they are nothing more than black ops operations by Israels Mossad which is the equivelent to the American CIA.

Not to mentionthe amount of brain dead Americans who believe the remote controled planes were actually enough to bring three towers down in the exact mode and especially one that was nerv hit by a plane came down in the exact same manner dispite no fires. Bread dead Americans can't see that this was a black ops to cause America to be incensed and attack Irag for Israel. Most Americans can not see that it is always Israel that is beating the drums of war and that this war is for Israel not America. Too stupid to see this fact they send their children off to die and fight for a foreign country that is nothing more than the middle east largest terrorist faction who are all too willing to send Americas people into war to die for their hatred of all those not Israli around them.

Most are too stupid to see that criminal elements are raping their constitution and stealing elections which bennifit only Israel.

Americans have a very free press compared to many other countries. They can find information from a wide variety of sources, certainly if the Internet is not controlled by an organization (which I hope will never happen).To judge the Americans as being brainwashed is quite a statement.Why do you think you are a better judge of what is right or wrong than other people can?

Like the press in Iran or China is free and open. Yahoo helps the Chinese mainland censor websites so Chinese citizens can't visit them, much like Parental Controls do for children.

Let me see, our LYING press exposes our hidden jails for terrorists in other countries. Our LYING press uncovers that our phone companies are providing information on everything we call to the govenment. Tell me, if a newspaper or magazine did that IN Iraq, Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, China about their policies, how long would the editors and publishers survive before being executed.

Yes, I realize it. I am not brainwashed, but most of the people around me are. In fact, they are so brainwashed they don't realize it. Yes, as a matter of fact I do.

I am American which has it's ups and it downs. Perhaps what Americans are brainwashed with isn't really comparable to those who hijack planes and what have you. It seems what Americans are brainwashed with is money. How to earn it, how to keep it, how to look like you have a lot, how to be thrifty, how to make it quick, how to save it, how to get it from other people with minimal effort, etc. Our education system has become an international joke. The point of it ISN'T to learn or to acquire analytical skills or to learn about the world or our, as a nations, true history but as a stepping stone into the work force. If you don't like school or you are not cut out for it or whatever, you become the lower class that is **** on constantly by those who have been brainwashed for and by money.

We have been brainwashed by independence, which stems from money. When you are 18, get out of the house, get a job, and start your own life. You are done. Get the latest in gadgets - buy them with your money. Show that you are independent and can think for yourself by consuming what you want with the money you make.

We have been brainwashed by the media and fear and religion.

We are a brainwashed people, it's true. It is a sad truth. We are brainwashed to want money and to believe that is what makes life when, in reality, money is a construction. It is make believe. It was created to make barter easier but do paper bills and those metals coins actually have any meaning to you? What about paper checks or plastic credit cards? They are just common materials which have been given meaning. Money is made even easier to spend, especially now with credit cards/bank cards/debit cards. It doesn't change hands at all, just write the amount down on paper and that is what you will be charged.

There is no indication of race or ethnicity or gender or where this question asker is even from, yet many of the responses are taking shots at the devout Muslims who, in short, blow people up as an interpretation of their beliefs. What does that say about those who responded in that way, those who IMMEDIATELY blame the vague "terrorist" when there was no indication of relation to the question? How is that for brainwashed, folks? We are brainwashed to think that they, the "terrorists" are are brainwashed - not that there might be a reason we are not able to understand behind their actions. If you look at the moratlity, literacy and poverty rates America is actually a thrid world country (by their own standards).
I'm in China right now and the only other foreigner in town is an American who thinks Australia is north of the US and Canada is in Europe and who thought that the river is this town was the Pacific ocean.(and shes a teacher) Definitely not top-notch education it seems.
I heard Bush was trying to get them to re-write high school history books to say that the natives helped write the constitution.
I suppose thats a logical way to deny a genocide if you have to do such a thing...?!
