When I was watching Family Feud, the host started rubbing one of the contestant's belly and after he was done, her face got a little confused and annoyed.
I also hear stories from other women that when they were pregnant, other people, even strangers started touching their pregnant stomach without asking their permission and it all happened so fast, you don't have time to react.

It's definitely freaky to have someone come up and touch you for no apparent reason! Not my favorite thing in the world. But it is kinda cool to think that there's a little person in there.

Before I got pg, my best friend had a baby and I wanted to touch her belly all the time! But of course, she's my best friend and we just had a laugh about it. I would NEVER do that to a stranger.

People think because a belly it's sexual that they can touch it. I think it makes them feel like part of the pregnancy for that second. I think it's rude, especially if you barely know the person. Then again...my mother-in-law keeps touching my belly and that's annoying even though I've known her for almost 10 years. I was mostly annoyed because she kept trying to feel the baby BEFORE my husband had a chance to feel it! Luckily he felt it the other day before anyone, so I'm a little less annoyed by the intrusion now.

I've seen people do that to pregnant friends and co-workers. I myself have NEVER rubbed a pregnant woman's belly - it just seems really intrusive and downright RUDE.

Some people don't have boundaries, so they think it's OK, but I don't... It's bad enough when a woman does it, but when a man is doing the belly rubbing, it's downright CREEPY (unless the man is the father of the woman's child, then it's OK - cause, after all, it's his kid too)

The same thing happened to me. Im 15 weeks expecting twins. I was in the store with my man and some couple touched my belly i didnt mind but she told me that she was trying to conceive and that it wasnt working. So she believed that if she touched a pregnant womens belly she will be granted a baby

With my own personal experience, I didnt mind, it felt good to have people touch my belly, everyone is different, of course. Some women are protective of their babies even while in the womb and don't want to be touched, asking first would be appreciated, just going for it is totally rude. If you see someone trying to do that to you, be assertive and let them know that you dont want to touched, its your mother-hood turning on:-) Hope I helped

this happened to me for the first time the other day. an old man who was a stranger just lurched at my belly, hand out asking to see if I really am pregnant! It made me feel sick and I pushed him away. I think he was offended but tough, because so was I. I find it very intrusive, although im sure its not meant like that.

I just think that most people think that a pregnant woman is amazing and carrying another human being inside. it never has bothered me if people I know touch my belly. I honestly have never had a stranger touch it, but I have had strangers tell me that my pregnant belly is adorable, LOL
