stars are million km far away from us.it is observed that when the star is of blueish colour,they are new born when they appear yellowish they are middle aged and when stars appear reddish they are old and can burst anytime but it takes million of years to observe weather that particular star is there or not

The light of e stars ha we see at the momen migh not be the same that it emits a he moment . i should be the ligh that it emitted some light years ago . depending on te distance from the earth and the time it takes to reach the earth . May be some might not teally be here by he time the light reached us. But that does not mean thar the star is non -existant now . It migh have turned into a black hole . It may not be the case with all he stars . manymight be still eixisting . though the light ha we receive today is not not he one thatsend out at the moment.
The very order of naure is change - incessant change. Nature may not be eha it is today. all he things we see ae not what hey were some millions of years ago. Everything has developed from something else and is changing into something else . That is nature . Nothing in this universe is permanent , except space , the only thing that is not a thing . since it is not a thng , it is unchanging . It IS not a thing . But it IS- though it is nothing . we are yet to realize the quality of this NOTHING THA IS A THING - HA IS SPACE , since it ois NOTHING - Science and scientists are still ignoring it . What else would one do about "NOTHING "?. It is really incomprehensible and it will take quite a lot of time to understand the character of this "nothing " and how it is indispensable for the existence of everything in the universe .The meaning of he remarks of Albert Eintien about Bhagavad -Gita would be understood after some hundreds of years perhaps . he is reported to have remaeked that " when I have read Bhafavad- Gita and reflected on the creation of he universe, every thing else seems superfluous". The full meaning of this would be known when the nature of the empty space - its being as a non- being is fully understood .

A star of a distance equal to 299792458 m, will mean that light will take a second to reach our eyes. Thus we will be seeing what the star looked like 1 second ago.
Stars are considerable further away than that.
If it takes light, from a star, to reach earth in 10 days, for example, we will be seeing that star 10 days in the past.
If the star exploded in the time that the light travelled from the star to earth, then we would not notice that the star had exploded until 10days after the explosion happens.

For example, if a star X is Y light years away from Earth, then the light reaches us only after Y years. By the time the star's light reaches earth, it may have already been exhausted of its energy source.

Yes, it's true. What we see is the light from the star. Many stars are millions of light years away. We are seeing the light only after the light has traveled the millions of miles to our eyes. Therefore the star we see could well be dead even though we still see the light traveling from it.

The speed of light is 299792.458 km/s.
The "picture" of the object takes time to reach to earth, meanwhile if the object is dead then also we can see the object in the sky. Because what we see is the older image of the object and not instant one (as in the case of Moon). The light from moon takes (on an average) 1.5 seconds to reach Earth. And we see wrong images of stars, it happens in majority cases because as we all know, many stars are very far from the earth. It may takes years to reach earth and hence, if we see the star in the night then it may happen that it has lost its life some years ago !!
And thus, as you say, Stars we see at this moment might had lost its life. And its very very True.

there is a lot of chance. as u see stars are billions of light years from earth, and light takes about an year to travel from stars to earth. so even the star bursts and destroys forming a black hole, we can know that after a long time.

Yes, the star ur interested in could have gone nova when egyptians were building those u-know-what, and we wouldn't have 'seen' it, yet.
Yes, its because of the speed of light. its the fastest thing in the universe and it still takes billions of years for light from older/further-er stars to reach us.
