You should use a daily cleanser w/ benzoyl peroxide, if it dries your skin out, which it has thetendency to do, begin a night regimen w/ a high end moisturizer such as La mer or Revive, if you have the cash. Oh yeah, lol, dustin, losing weight might help too.

I used to have this problem...
1-Don't overwash or use products that are too strong for your face. Use a gentle face cleanser designed for oily skin. A toner/purifier and then an oil free moisterizer or hydrating gel. Yes, even oily skin needs moisterizing. It helps balance it.
2-Use an oil control lotion (Mary Kay has an awesome one) before make-up.
3-let sit for 5 minutes.
4-If you use liquid foundation. Use powder to set it. Otherwise, use a creme to powder foundation. Use beauty blotters throughout the day.
5-Buy an Oil Mattifier... you can blot it on during the day at anytime over your make-up and it will dry up ALL oil. It is the best product in the world!!!!!
6-Do a microdermabrasion treatment (home) on your face 2-3 times a week to help refine skin and minimize pores.

before you put on any makeup, of course wash your face with a mild cleanser like Clinique. Then use toner, I prefer Clean and Clear Daily Toner. Always Moisturize your face...you can use Clinique SuperDefense with SPF 25. I found out when you use the Biore' Moisturizer that stops shine...that reallly works! I have oily skin like you and after I started using that stuff....the oil on my face reduced dramatically!!!! Use that, then use a powder foundation. then add the rest of your make up...
I know it sounds like a hassle, but it does work for me and not having an oily, shiny face within 15 minutes is worth it!

me too having oily skin..best to avoid primers, liquid foundation as it may cause a major oil slick and u may end up breaking out more often..apply some oil control moisturiser, followed by a two way cake or powder foundation. it adheres better and infact less messy.cut ur make up time in half too!

I suggest that the oily skin should be treated by a dermatologist, so that they can access your condition and perhaps let you use a cleanser that is custom made, suited to your skin's needs.
Or start eating more fruits and vegetables and drink lots of fluids.
Nothing beats clear skin than from within.

Try some blotting papers during the day. I have oily skin too and I use Lancome Dual Finish dry (you can use it wet or dry) it comes in a compact and it's easy to carry in your purse.

Wash your face in the morning apply the Dual Finish - Blot during the day and spray your face with water. Water spray really helps an oily complexion. I keep a little spray mister bottle in my purse and spray my face and hands during the day; it is a real fresher pick up and especially nice when you are traveling.

You need to use makeup that is not liquid of any kind, only powders. To help with oily skin, use Witchazel or even just rubbing alcohol on cotton balls as your morning and evening astringent.

Get the Mineral Veil by Bare Minerals...It will soak the oil right up! It has worked miracles for me. I also use Clinique bar soap and their gel moisturizer.

Are you checking labels to make sure everything is oil free? Also I find it helpful to just take it all off and start fresh halfway through the day.

yes, actually I do have some suggestions...if you have oily skin than you should stay away from any liquid foundations...try and use powdered foundations....this really cuts back on the oiliness of your skin......
Hope this helps:)
