People have no common sense here. I was at a yield sign trying to see the cars coming and someone kept easing up trying to prevent me from seeing.

I moved to the Houston area a year ago. I quickly found out that out of the eight states I have lived in that Houston by FAR has the worst drivers I have ever encountered. They are rude, do not use turn signals, run red lights and stop signs, speed every where and from what I can gather have NEVER read a drivers manual. If they had they MIGHT know how a four way stop works!! In short I totaly agree with you honey.
The city isn't stupid, it is the people who live here!!

As in most major cities, you will always have people who are not exactly worthy of possessing a valid driver's license. Furthermore, though you have obviously had a bad experience (or two) with a few Houston drivers, do know that not all of us drive like cavemen.

By the way...just be careful out there on the roads and remember: when in doubt, just let the idiot pass!

Just like anything else in life, we tend to do things the way we were taught. If you didn't learn how to drive here, chances are you won't flow with traffic. The drivers here aren't bad; they just drive differently than you do. I'm sure they think you are a bad driver because you drive differently than they do. In sum, people aren't bad... they're just different.

People have their own interpretation of the DMV drivers' handbook. It also doesn't help it being in seven different languages(at least here in Cali). Also, everyone thinks its the other person's fault when it is really theirs. This contributes alot to road rage.
