I have 2 little boys and experienced very little morning sickness (or pregnancy symptoms at ALL!) with both of them. I am now pregnant again and have been nauseaous 24/7 for the last 5 weeks (I'm 12 weeks along.). I have a whole slew of other pregnancy issues this time as well, including excess saliva, fatigue and asthma. I'm wondering if maybe I'm having a girl and if any one else experienced a huge difference between previous pregnancies that turned out to be a baby of the other sex.
Thanks for any help you can offer!!

First of all, give yourself some much deserved credit! You are a busy mother of two boys with this preganancy and the extra issues could definitely be because of your added responsibilities. I am a mother of 4 girls and 1 boy. All of my girls did give me more nausea in the first trimester than did my boy. Try taking ginger, eating saltines, and drinking Sprite. Get some rest if you can squeeze it in!

With all three i only actually got sick once. I have two boys also. So this time, since i wasn't feeling really any sicker I was convinced it was another boy. The only difference is my acne is way out of control and i crave candy like crazy. My doctor said he's pretty sure it's a girl though!! But i did read in a few places that about all the "pregnancy myths" (draino, string, how you carry, heart rate, etc) are ALL just myths, EXCEPT for the increased morning sickness. Apparently it has some "medical" proof that girls may make you more sick due to hormones or whatnot. So that was proven SOMEWHAT true. BUT everybody is different! It just depends on your body!! But if it is different than the first two, i'm bettting on a girl!!!
Good Luck!

When I was pregnant with my son pregnancy was such a breeze! I never got sick, my muscles were never sore, and the delivery was smooth as could be. My daughter was the complete opposite. I was sick all the time, my back incredibly sore, I was sooooo moody, and to top it off she did NOT want to come out during the delivery. I was in labor all night stuck at 6-7 cm with no pain meds, and the doctor wouldn't come in until 8am to break my water which moved things along and she finally came at 9:30 in the morning after about 15 minutes of pushing. Girls are more trouble from the start! LOL. Good luck and I hope it's a girl:~)

My daughter was easy to carry no aches and pains, no swelling of the feet, no exhaustion, sick only on rare occasions. My son, well he was the pregnancy everyone dreads. I was so tired I would fall asleep while eating, I would get sick 4 to 5 times a day all the way up to the day I delivered him. I didn't sleep well, it was hard to get comfortable and he would stretch out and press on my ribs and spine to the point of pain. My feet got so swollen that I was wearing over sized slippers everywhere. When the docotor offered to remove my son by C-Section a two weeks early, I literally started to cry from relief.

I love both of my kids, and after being pregnant with my son, I made up my mind that no more for me.

When I was pregnant with my 1st child (a girl) my EX husband had the morning sickness for a week BEFORE I knew I was pregnant! I craved veggies and water with her!

Now...my second pregnancy(also with the EX) I had morning sickness from about conception!! It was 24/7 for almost the entire 8 months( all my children were born almost a month early!)And with this one...I craved Hawaiian pizza and sweets...constant SWEETS!! Divorced him and didn't get pregnant again for almost 11 yrs...NOW...when I got pregnant with son number 2 AGAIN...morning sickness from about conception again..24/7 for about 8 months!! I couldn't stand the sight of raw meat...and I craved anything covered in marinara sauce..(my husband jokes it's his Italian genes!) I joked around when this started saying "THIS HAS TO BE A BOY...only men can make me THIS sick!!" What a surprise... A boy!!! Then, my last (*and final I might add!) pregnancy~ I had morning sickness again...from conception right through the 8 months...and AGAIN... A BOY!!! With this pregancy...I couldn't touch raw meat...(not even packaged!) couldn't stand thesight/ smell of it cooking (actually anything cooking!) couldn't stand the sight/smell of a grocery store!! We had to do take out every day for 8 months...I still to this day (*almost 3 yrs later!) can't stomach a double cheeseburger from McDonalds...and we were surprised that the baby didn't have chinese features..cause all we ate was chinese take out!!! LOL Surprisingly...I lost 20 lbs during the pregnancy and weighed LESS than I did when I first got pregnant!! I had a bunch of issues with my last two pregnancies..emergency c-sections on both...and getational diabetes with the last...and with my oldest son..from my first marriage!!!

With my fist son I had little nausea or other symptoms. Now I am pregnant again with another boy and it is completely different.I have been so sick,so tired,so everything you can feel being pregnant.I was so sure it was a girl and was shocked to find out it was another boy.So boy or girl-each pregnancy can be totally different-I hope you get your little girl though!

I had worse morning sickness with my boy, who was also my first. With the girls the whole pregnancy was alot worse though. I felt drained, and was alot more moody. With my boy, I was active and felt good, with the girls, I felt yucky!! BTW, both my first two were very easy babys, but my two year old daughter has been a handful since she arrived! Boys are not always harder!!

I've had two girls and a boy between them and I didn't have morning sickness with any of them.

Some cultures say that a girl takes away the mother's beauty ( or vitality ) and a boy makes the mother glow.

Wanting it very much can make it different .
I had different cravings is all .
grandmother used to say it is not the sex of the baby but how much hair the baby has that makes you have heart burn and feel queasy later on in the pregnancy.
I think it is a lack of something your body needs ,hormones ,iron,
calcium. Each pregnancy my baby was smaller .and of course I was older .
Have a healthy happy baby ,and be the same .:)
