Was the collapse of the Twin Towers (9/11) a demolition job?

I saw this documentary at the weekend in which so called experts claimed that the collapse could only have been the result of a professional demolition job. How correct is this theory? I would prefer serious answers. Preferably from those with knowledge of demolition.

It was a very nicely put together piece of conspiracy theory, which touched on a number of theories that have at leasts a little credibility.. fortunately you've had the sense to seek out additional evidence to support the things the film would have you believe outright.

I wish I could give you more, but I personally put it down to an alternative point of view with some facts that couldn't be confirmed by me in a million years.

A pro demolition job would have dropped the towers now! There wouldn't be a time lapse between the explosions and the towers falling. And prior to implosion destruction the supporting walls are weakened drastically. And the explosives are carefully placed and det cord runs all over. This takes weeks to prepare and set up. Do you really think the people in the towers wouldn't have noticed but written if all off as building maintenance?

You must have seen this 'documentary' somewhere on the internet. Remember a lot of what you find on the internet is as valid as bathroom walls.

There's been nothing on the TV that has supported that idea. But there have been shows debunking the demolition theory. Don't be an idiot and continue to spread such bogus stories.

Well ,im not an expert by far but i know after the trade towers collapsed we were very quick to the punch to go to war with iraq why? Iraq never did have any weapons of mass destruction as bush claimed or is bush just finishing up daddys job?. I think it could have be a planned operation within our government and certain allies such as israel just so we could go to war with iraq to control oil and a strategic advantage for israel/US to go to with with iran?!.But i seriously think it was the impact ,heat and fully loaded fuel tanks from those planes that was cause of the collapse of the towers steel melts and gets soft from prolonged heat of course.

A sad question on sad programme about an even sadder event.
Of course it was not contrived and an internal demolition job!
It was the act of indoctrinated and bloodthirsty men who did not care who they killed . It was the pack of cards effect, but downwards, that brought the buildings down, including those near by that were not hit.

No - that wasn't a documentary, it was a highly spurious piece of sensationlist conspiracy theory. Why would you ever want to believe this?
