You better tell her quickly before she hears it from someone else! She may already know and is waiting to see how long it takes you to share it with her. I would tell her and make a big deal about how important she is. Invite her to lunch with you and your fiancee, tell her you wanted to introduce them and let her know you are engaged. Make a special effort to include her before she gets her feelings hurt. Good luck!

Well, why don't you and your man pay your mom a visit. When all three of you get together at your home, her home, a restaurant, where ever. Tell your boyfriend to do this : Tell him to sit next to your mom and tell her all the wonderful things he find in you, and that he doesn't need to look any father and doesn't need to wait any longer because he knows what he wants for the future and that's to be in her life and your 4ever. Ask him to ask you mom for your hand as a gentlemen....she'll totally love it....then your boyfriend will sit next to you, get in one knee and ask you to marry him. YOUR MOM WILL GO BANANAS....lol....take this piece of advice it wont do you wrong.
