i'v connected a motorola l6 to my pc via usb. it says charging but the battery icon is flashing. in the manual it says charging is indicated by vertical bars filling up the battery. any help would be much appreciated.

If it's like any Motorola phone, the flashing battery icon indicates that charging is in progress. The number of bars in the battery icon only indicates the level of battery charge left.

Once you disconnect the phone from its AC source (wallplug, USB cable, etc), the battery icon should stop flashing.
