I'm curious because when I started to read this I was young. It depicted other young relationships. Usually of the first b/f or g/f variety. Now is that considered young adult pornography?

first off, you have to understand that there is a BIG culture diff between japan and the US. so scenes where a little kid is taking a bath with an adult is seen as ok (there are public baths available in japan and it's not uncommon for parents or older siblings/family members to give kids a bath). nudity is also seen in a different light and manga is seen as viable a media as newspapers, books, etc.

the only legal trouble you may find yourself in is if you have manga that has been licensed by a US company but not obtained from them (i.e. pirated online manga). i used to have some manga from series like flame of recca and ranma 1/2 that i had gotten online years ago... i had to get rid of it when it was licensed by a US company (which was a real drag as the companies "edited" the manga and released it so slowly that we still haven't caught up to series that have ended a LONG time ago... stupid companies...)

Only if you decide to copy another person's ideas and call it your own, intentional or not. It's called plagiarism. Otherwise, go ahead and read Manga.
