A lot of women lose a "mucous plug" anywhere from a few hours to a couple of weeks before giving birth. It may look blood tinged and has a snot like consistency. You should call your doctor immediately if you should notice heavy bleeding or fluid coming out. Heavy bleeding is serious and needs prompt medical attention. Fluid coming out could indicate that your water has broken. Enjoy your new baby!

It sounds like you lost your mucous plug. All this means is that you might be beginning to dilate a little bit. Very normal no worries, just keep your appointment in 2 days. Congrats!

it may have been part of your plug. When I started losing mine, I was in labor within 8 hours. Some people I've heard of people waiting about 2 weeks after.

The same thing happend to me. It could be your plecenta or part of your mucas plug. You are getting close to delivery. If you are not feeling good go to the ER. I would wait out the two days (unless you bleed alot)! Congrats and good luck!

You're so close! Did it have any "slimy" texture? Bloody slime is what my mucus plug looked like.....but it wasn't overly big, about the size of a quarter. Call your doctor, they can get you in quick for a visit if they want to.

CONGRATS, you just passed your mucus plug, or part of it. This is the first step towards labor, wait until you go to your doctor and mention it to him/her. Start watching out for other signs of labor, contractions and such.
Best wishes.

Oh gosh, I don't know. Call the doctor's office and ask the nurse if you should come in. Obviously, you are pretty far along, so who knows what's going on except the baby.

that could be the mucus plug.
The mucus plug is an accumulation of cervical secretions, which form all throughout pregnancy to block the cervix and deter the passage of bacteria into the uterus
