Will they remember their loved ones as they say people do when they die and go on to heaven. They look down on all their loved ones but I wonder if they have forgotten all their loved ones prior to death due to dementia or alzheimers will they regain their memory or will they forget everyone they ever knew? Just wondering.

This is a very serious question, I am not assuming there is a heaven I believe in my heart there is one. I just want to know because this disease runs in my family and I want to make sure, if this happens to me that I will be able to remember all the great and wonderful people I come to know and my children.

Assuming that the religion is true that there is a heaven I think you are overassuming that a person with a mental problem has no capacity to remember whom they held dearly. Ever see children with problems on the street, still able to know who their parents are? Don't think that a 'retard' or 'slow person' has no mental capacity.

Anyway, they would probably remember whom they loved in heaven, per se.
