THe lady who wrote down the information didn't speak english to well. When she asked how far along the baby was, my wife said 16.5 weeks, but the lady put down 13 weeks... does that make a difference in the results?

If it would make you feel better have the test taken again....but from past experiences the triple screen isn't very effective to begin with. my results were the same as your wife's, we went in and had a high intensity ultra sound done and they checked alot of different things...the length of the long bones, width of the neck, looked for heart defects, and on and on...he was fine. with my 3rd son I failed again....so again they did the ultra sound this time around they found a heart defect and his neck area was wide compared to the norm, and the long bones in his legs and arms were shorter that usual (yes...my son has down syndrome). have your wife talk to her doctor and set up an ultra-sound when she is 20 weeks to look for problems that are associated with DS...and above all else don't worry!!! even if your child has DS it is not the end of the world as you know it...you would just be going down a different path in life that the one you anticipated. DS kids are just like any other kid...except they do things slower.
wait until you have the ultra-sound done before you start getting worried ( but really there is no reason to worry)
good luck to you and your wife!
