Absolutely agree. If you haven't heard about it yet, watch the Glenn Beck special this coming Wednesday (7, 9, 12 PM EST). It promises to be the most pivotal show on radical Muslims ever shown on TV. It uses the Arab world's own TV shows and news broadcasts to truly show what they are planning to do against Western society.

I don't think the world sees Muslims as victims. Although there are exceptions, I think 2 groups see Muslims as victims.
1. The Muslims themselves. Not all, but many...too many.
2. Those people who hate the West in general and the United States in particular. In this case, it goes something like...I hate the United States and/or Western civilization. Many Muslims hate the United States and/or Western civilization. Therefore, I embrace Muslims and view them as victims of the US and Western Civilization.
Personally, I'm not sure if there is any answer to this. If there is, I'm firmly convinced that it will need to come from within Islam itself. I'm not sure that a religion stuck in the 15th century is compatible with a 21st century world.

Many US citizen see Muslims as villains. Perhaps this isn't a far-sighted policy?
I believe that most of the rest of the world see Palestinians as victims of Israel and the US and Iraquis as victims of the US.

I can only say I don't see them as the victims of anything except their own ignorance of their own religion. And that makes it their problem alone.
