I don't know if you should demand. You probably have more pleasant experience if you just ask politely.

Basically, nobody cares for the copies of training or educational records (which they ususally give at the time of joining the firm)...If you have been workin with the company for quite a somet time, u may be well aware of the company back ground and how they keep the records???

if do not trust, you can politely ask for it...I'm sure they wil definitely help u.

You can demand it during or after employment.
