In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American
sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister
Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his
Parliament members why he believes so much in America, he said:

"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many
want
in ... And how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever
offered to die for you:

1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.

One died for your soul, the other for your freedom. If you want to
pass
this on I think it would be appropriate, as many seem to forget BOTH of
them!

As an American I would opine that I do think Blair has played to much into Bush's hand. Let's look at World War II, for example. Churchill was NOT FDR's lapdog...they were co-partners in a trans-Atlantic alliance. Bush has not extended Mr. Blair that same courtesy - nor has he taken Blair's advice to heart. To his discredit, Blair has never tried to force Bush's hand on anything, which is surprising.

With the Democrats now in control in Congress and Presidential elections a scant two years away, Bush is done for. Even if another Republican is elected, he will be a moderate realist, not a neo-Con. Right now Blair is holding all the cards and he has no real reason to continue to sell out Britain or Labour on the part of George Bush.

I believe that both Labour and the Democratic Party are natural allies and that both are the natural parties of government. I hope that those alliances will now become stronger.

Good point. However, not all American GI's have died to ensure our continued freedom; some have been victims of politics. Just because they're patriotism compelled them to fulfill their pledge to protect America, doesn't necessarily mean they died for a noble cause. And nothing more dramatically illustrates this than the Iraqi War. Whether you support this war or not, no one with a conscience or a grain of logic could possibly believe that this war is just. Nearly 3000 American troops died for nothing. These young men and women are brave, courageous Americans, deserving of our gratitude. But make no mistake about it, they died tragically and senselessly. May God have mercy on their souls.

Don't give me all that sanctimonious bullsh*t. Did you stay up all night thinking that one up eh? I have 2 words for you "Abu" and "Gharib". This the same American G.I. that kills innocent Iraqis ? Comparing Jesus to an American G.I. is a bit rich, very arrogant, extremely nauseating. I am not exactly religious but I think you need to look at your role models in life dear.

i would like to know how the murder rape and humiliation inflicted upon millions of innocent people by the american military has resulted in freedom

during all the death and destruction wreaked in the twentieth century by the american military not a bit of it was due to an enemy marching on american soil

it would be better for you to replace the word freedom with the word crimes to describe what the american military has produced

That's the kind of answer I would expect from a "expert" politician
Solders do not to get to vote on which wars they wish to fight in..Blair is simply implying by his statement that American G.I.,S find this acceptable which they do not..and another thing...Jesus was murdered.

Spreading the anti-American and anti-War sentiments across the Europe is the main agenda of terrorists from Europe. Blair is the best political professor I have ever seen. You can tell his education level by listening his speeches.

I agree with his statement about the US. As a Jew I don't believe his statement about Jesus, but I respect his right to believe it.
