1. Figure out where you want to be in six months, one year and five years. Write it down....all of them. Do one thing toward those goals every day, even if it seems a trivial accomplishment.
2. Make a list of 10 things you want to accomplish in life. Climb Everest? ...put it on there. Learn a second or third language? put that on there too. Have home on the beach? that goes, too.
Now that you have your list, put it in your wallet and refer to it often. Do ONE THING every day toward one of those goals.
For instance, if you will need to learn climbing skills to get to the top of Mount Everest, study on techniques or do specialized aerobic exercises every day. If it is a home on the beach that you want to work for, then start researching plans and places and put some money aside .. even $5 .. every day.
The whole point is to have a goal and to keep the goal firmly and clearly in sight.

Try to make a plan, what it will do, is take up a little of the time you have to waste, to do something with. Don't get upset when your plans have a wrench, like Katrina, or some other Nature or man made unexpected event, is thrown in there that wasn't part of, the plan. I've learned, this isn't even our time. "The Plan" is, what will be, will be...

The GOOD news: The best lives just happen.
The BAD news: The worst lives just happen.
The value of planning is limited at best, because other factors, beyond our control, many times determine success or it's opposite. Just do the obvious things to set yourself up -- a good education, start saving early for retirement -- and I predict success and happiness.
Good luck!

First think about your goals. Then break them into short-term goals. Think about what you can do to achieve those goals. Also take the time into considerations and allocate time to each short-term goal. Then think about what you should do right now for moving towards those short-term goals. I think a good way to make a plan is to draw a flow-chart using arrows and boxes with the ultimate goal on top.

Depends where you want to go next life!
If you wish to go to heaven, behave as a saintly person:no meat eating-no drugs of any kind-no illicit sex-no greed for money....and worship God!
Do the contrary if you wish to taste hell!
