I think that anyone that would sell their story of who they slept with before is absolutely wrong. I think that if you even cared a little for the human being involved you would keep your mouth shut. I believe that good things happen to good people, however I also think that whatever goes around comes around. It will haunt you as well. I was always told to never sell yourself for money, to have dignity for yourself as well as for others, that is what makes us human beings, not animals.
However, in the interest of writing, I personally feel that if you yourself are writing the story, it would be better. Selling your story to someone that will portray you and the individual inappropriately can happen. I also feel that using celebrity names to write a good story is also not good writing, in fact it is as cheap as the act of selling it. If you write about anything write about it well, but if you are just selling it to someone just prostitute yourself ! You probably will make more money... no one wants to hear your story as much as you think. They are using you as much as you are using them for money.

Money obviously plays a part, but also attention can motivate a lot of people to do this. They get their picture in the paper and are made to feel special and important. If the famous person is really attractive then part of it might be showing off as well. If they haven't spoken to them in years, or it was just a one night stand and they weren't very close, they probably won't feel too bad. To be fair, reality tv contenstants are desperate for attention and press too- they want to be talked about, so the people selling their stories are kind of helping them out. People who seek out fame can't complain about their lives being ruined by press stories- they knew exactly what they were getting themselves into, and if they want to be in the public eye and maintain a good reputation they need to be very careful.
And when it comes to people like Jude Law's nanny, who sell their story once it's been leaked, quite often they genuinely believe they can change the public perception of them by showing themselves to be nice and sweet in an interview.
Personally, I wouldn't do it because I wouldn't want to be known as someone who had sold a story. It's not very classy is it? But frankly, half the time the people they are selling the story on aren't very classy either, so fair play to them.

Absolutley not.
Many years ago i had a one night stand with a page 3/ men magazines model and although she isn't well known at all now things could change.
Another few years and she could be the latest Michelle Marsh or Jo Guest with some crappy tv show on Sky.
I wouldn't tell what happened for a million pounds, besides the fact she a friend one of my sisters, i just wouldn't do it.

I think It depends what kind of story your selling.
IF a famous person did something wrong to either myself or my family then sorry yes i would.
IF i had had sex with a famous person then no i dont think i would, but this also depends on the situation really just sex no strings then no. relationship fall pregnant and he does a runner then dam right i would.
I went to the same school with a famous model she was a very quiet and nice girl in school and she still is nice now, when i tell people i was in the year below her in school given the area we grow up and the status she has now no one believes me lol well i know i did and i dont care what others think anyway.................

Good ethics questions. I think most would depend on the indivual situation. I can see revenge if someone had done the other wrong. However, I presonally like to let the past stay in the past and move on. If this story did someone else harm in thier profession or standing in thier community one certainly shouldn't. I would give them an ok to do it, if the other was showing himself to be a bigot.

All the people who see the dollar signs offered are the ones who want to tell everyone. If you had a special moment with some celebrity, keep it to yourself. It makes it that much more special

Yeah well, when you kiss and tell, you not only rat out the other person, you give up your own privacy too. So if you are trying to blackmail and/or embarrass them, you are dragging your own butt thru the mud too, so you are as low as they are. Even lower, if you're selling your story.

No I wouldnt. Everyone is in the 'public eye' in one way or another.
I wouldnt want anyone I care for, famous or not, to be made a show of in public, expecially something as personal as sex.

i had a famous sportsman once, there was no point saying anything cos he was single and single people sometimes have sex. I think its different if they are married with kids and you're single cos you didnt cheat and if you dont mind the stigma of selling your story then fair enough.

there is a name for that sort of person
Forget about the morality of it for a moment. These people are short sighted and the relatively small sums of money they will receive will completely destroy their character and future earnings. Total idiots methinks
