I am so looking forward to Christmas.
We go to my husbands grandmothers Christmas eve and open gifts with her then me my husband and son have a special dinner just for us that evening and we let our son open one gift. We also invite friends and other family to come over Christmas eve night to exchange gifts with the children. We get up early Christmas day and open gifts take pictures and just snack. It's the best time of the year I can buy people gifts that they love without worry, I love to listen to the music and see all the lights up around town. It's also the day my savior Jesus Christ was born and I get to celebrate that as well because that is what Christmas is really all about the gifts and food are just a bonus.

I also send letters from santa to my nephews and his year is extra special as its going to be my daughters first christmas so Im even more excited!!!! She will onlty be 7 months but Im definately leaving out the carrots and mince pies for Santa and shes posed in a Reindeer outfit for our christmas cards.....

It should be wonderful. Family all together again from various parts, old feuds stirred up. Grannie not speaking to aunty Ethel because last year Ethel drank her sherry. Granddad drunk in the potting shed, little William sick from stealing too many cakes and serve him right, Tracy cross because the new baby has all the attention and she didn't get an ipod as requested of Santa Claus. Mum sick to death of the lot of them and wished she had gone on a cruise. John not coming home from Uni because he got a better offer from his new girl friend. Oh I can't wait. Should be memorable once more. Cheers !

I used to love Christmas but it starts so early now there is no excitement, the kids want all the dearest toys it`s all about money ,
When we were young we used to make paper chains and decorations for the tree ,do all the baking on Christmas Eve,then ,put the turkey on to cook overnight and the smell was wonderful,
Now it`s down the supermarket get everything ready made,
I still make my own cake and sausage rolls mince pies ,nothing like them ,,,,

It's expensive but I love it!!! Can't wait to get my tree up.
I love it because it's the one day the people around me don't work (apologies to all of those who have to work xmas day).
It's also about eating what I want when I want (and that's usually a fair bit throughout the day lol) and drinking sensibly of course.
Traditional things would be getting together playing games on the DVD player (Who wants to be a millionaire, bullseye, deal or no deal this year... sad I know but it's only one day and I've got the rest of the year to be grown up)

I AM! My boyfriend and I are spending Christmas day by ourselves. He's working from 1.30pm til 9.30pm which is a bit lame so when he gets home, the flat will look like a wonderland and I'm cooking a Mexican christmas dinner! I can't WAIT!
