Well, you see projects are supposed to be original.
However if you need one real bad here are a few Ideas:
1. Create something like Pacman, in graphics mode.
2. Create a CAlculator that works like any ordinary calculator but on the computer screen
3. Goto www.kicit.com for projects u could steal without anyone noticing.

If you want project ideas, try a little thing called your imagination. If you don't have one of those, try looking through SourceForge for inspiration.

As far as possible, use java over c++ as
1)the security is extremely good
2)it kind of easier
3)Extreme platform independence

c++ is completely secure as compared to c , we can create modules ,also we can declare anywhere variables in the whole program,,,,,,security is major concern in c++..........
